CTG is seeking to fill a Merchandise Technology Lead opening in NYC (may be remote)

This is a long term contract that may turn into a full time position with the client.

Must have NetSuite experience.

Description:

Our client, a highly respected and well known non-profit, seeks a highly capable Technology Lead (NetSuite) for its Merchandising arm. The client's Merchandising arm sells program-related merchandise to retail and wholesale customers.

The Technology Lead has three primary areas of responsibility: System Administration, Project Management, and Technology Strategy. As a system administrator, they will be responsible for the administration of NetSuite and other applications that run the business. As a project manager, they will manage the development of related applications and components of applications with third party vendors. As a strategist, they will contribute to the evaluation and selection of new technologies to improve merchandise sales, operations, and reduce operating costs.

Merchandise is sold both online through ecommerce sites and brick and mortar stores. The client owns and operates a warehouse/distribution center through which orders are fulfilled and shipped to customers. They also operate two ecommerce web sites, one for retail customers and one for its wholesale customers. It uses an ERP for order to cash management, inventory management, procure to pay management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting. It operates a warehouse management and shipping system to fulfill and deliver orders. It operates and supports point-of-sale applications.

• Create changes to data model and data as needed.

• Develop reports, complex saved searches, and data extracts to assist internal and external users of the system.

• Knowledge and experience with eCommerce systems, or integrations.

• Provide support to end users, including issue management and any questions, escalating issues to NetSuite or other integration partners as needed. Work with NetSuite and other partners until issue resolution.

• Execute recurring periodic back-office processes.

• Manage integration of NetSuite with several other applications, including Accellos, CyberSource, OpSuite, and others.

• Manage process of testing periodic SaaS upgrades, including organizing end users as participants, managing, executing, reporting defects, and managing test documentation reporting defects, and maintaining test documentation.

• Serve as a project manager in a variety of capacities, including stakeholder reporting, documenting business and functional requirements, evaluating proposals, developing use and test cases, testing application in test and production environments, etc.

• This individual is embedded in the IT Community, and will Advocate for the Revenue Community technology strategies/requirements to ensure appropriate integration and alignment with the organization's overall technology strategy”.

Required Experience and Skills:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in information technology with specific experience in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of application software.

• Minimum 4 years of experience in NetSuite implementation and administration.

• Minimum 6 years prior experience in a mid-sized organization working in applications development.

• 4 years of system testing experience

• 4 years project management experience leading (and actively participating in) teams of technical professionals. The project management experience must have included direct accountability for delivering the project within specifications, on time and within budget.

• Working knowledge of general ledger double entry accounting, order to cash, procure to pay.

• Demonstrated experience working directly with external vendors who may be working independently on certain aspects of a project or may be working as part of the project team.

• Must be very adept at managing vendor relationships and serving as an effective interface between organization employees and management and vendors.

• Must be adept at discussing business needs and translating those needs to functional requirements and technical specifications.

• Must be adept at discussing technical issues, limitations, requirements, etc. in a way that is understandable to non-technical users.

• Superior interpersonal skills to manage relationships between users, employees, team members and external vendors. Must be able to utilize skills to ensure and maintain a collaborative work environment in situations that are sometimes strained.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group is required.
